The Medici Family has declared itself the rightful decendents of the ancient Roman Empires and now claims their New Roman Empire should rule all of Italy. The chaos of the religious wars has allowed the peasantвЂ™s republic of Freiland to arise in the northern parts of the Empire, while in the west, an ambitious new King wishes to reunite the once mighty Middle Frankish Kingdom, which has been on decline for centuries. The victory of the Hussites has led to the creation of the Czechosaxonian Kingdom, which is now Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. The recent conversion of the King of Sweden to Christianity has caused a civil war between followers of the old Norse and new Christian religions. The mighty North Sea Empire dominates Scandinavia and Northern Europe, and is hoping to further expand into Britain to spread its Norse religion. The native Kingdom of Mercia hopes to drive the foreign invaders out and create a united English nation. Many hope that the restoration of the West Frankish Empire could bring peace and prosperity to the region.Д«ritain is divided between norman Invaders in the south and danish settlers of the North Sea Empire in the East. The two strongest Kingdoms are Occitania in the south and Normandy in the north. West Francia has completely collapsed, leaving France divided between several smaller Kingdoms and dutchies. The mighty Kingdom of Asturias is waiting for any sign of weakness to advance the Reconquista of Iberia.

The practice of creating client Kingdoms for each important family member has severely weakened the once mighty Andalusia, and now a war between brothers is on the horizon.
